Sixt Payment Policy
The most widely accepted method of payment in the car rental industry is by credit card. While some rental car suppliers allow additional payment options such as debit and cash, Sixt typically does not allow these alternate forms of payment. However, depending on the location and vehicle category of your reservation, debit card payments may be accepted. Sixt Car Rental Age Policy
Sixt's age policy can vary greatly depending on the location of your rental car. However, the majority of Sixt's age policies are in regards to minimum driving ages and young driver surcharges. Minimum driving ages are determined by a combination of local driving laws in the country of your rental and the discretion of each respective Sixt branch. The minimum age to rent a car in the majority of countries is anywhere between 18-25 years of age, however, Sixt may mandate a higher minimum age up to 25-30 years of age for certain premium rental vehicle models (ex. luxury, SUV, vans, etc.). Young driver surcharges are applied to drivers under the age of 25 and is a daily charge, paid locally at the time of pick-up. Sixt Fuel Policy
Similar to the majority of major rental car companies, Sixt's offers two fueling options within their fuel policy. The first and most common re-fueling option for Sixt rentals is to pick-up and return your rental vehicle with a full tank of gas. Sixt's second and less widely available re-fueling option is to opt for the Fuel Purchase Option (FPO), allowing you to return your vehicle without a full tank for a fee paid at the time of pick-up. In the event that you return your Sixt rental car with less than a full tank of fuel and haven't purchased an FPO, you will be subject to re-fueling fees with an increased cost per gallon for the remaining fuel needed to fill your vehicle.

Can I cancel my Sixt car rental reservation booked with Auto Europe?
Yes, when you book a car rental with Auto Europe from Sixt, or any of our trusted suppliers, you will be able to enjoy the benefits of our cancellation policy. Auto Europe provides clients with a full refund if they cancel their reservation at least 48 hours before the time of pick-up and even allows cancellations within 48 hours of the time of pick-up for a fee of just $75 USD. Does Sixt allow additional drivers?
Yes, Sixt does allow additional drivers on most rental cars reservations. Additional drivers are added at the time of pick-up and are paid at the local Sixt branch, typically with a daily charge for the duration of your rental. Additional drivers must be above the minimum driving age and present the necessary documents required to drive in that country, such as a valid domestic driver's license and an IDP (International Driver's Permit).
Can I rent a car with unlimited mileage from Sixt?
Yes, unlimited mileage/kilometer options are usually included in most Sixt rentals booked with Auto Europe. However, depending on the location and category of your rental vehicle, there can be certain exceptions - for example, SUVs and premium, luxury rentals.
