Needed Items When Picking Up Your Avis Car Rental

Travelers wanting to pick up their Avis car rental should to be sure they have all of their needed documents ready to present to the agent at the rental counter. These include the credit card in the driver's name, valid driver's license, International Driver's Permit (Required by a few countries) and your Auto Europe rental voucher.

Avis Cancellation Policy

Unless it is noted elsewhere, one of the main advantages to renting your Avis car from Auto Europe is that it gives you more freedom when it comes to cancellations. As long as you cancel your rental 48 hours prior to your pickup time you will receive a refund in full with no questions asked. If you cancel less than 48 hours you will still receive a refund, but will incur a small $75 USD fee. No shows however are responsible for the full amount of the rental. This is also recommended when picking up your rental as well.

Yes! Many Avis locations throughout Europe and North America will allow you rent a car that has a different destination than origin. Please keep in mind that many one-way rentals will incur an additional fee that will range from country to country, time of year and popularity of the vehicle.

Does Avis Offer Toll Services?

Yes! Avis offers their e-Toll service program on rental cars throughout the USA and Canada. The e-Toll service consists of a $3.95/day convenience fee with up to a maximum of $19.75 per month on top of the cost of the tolls. Also, should you find yourself on a cashless toll road you will be automatically opted into the e-Toll program, which will incur a $17.00 fee, plus the tolls incurred during your trip.
