Keep in mind that these rates not only change based off of type, class and size, but also by availability, time of year, popularity as well as the duration of the rental.

Budget Additional Driver Policy

The cost to add an additional driver to your rental will vary based on location and time of year. For instance, to rent a car in Eindhoven an additional driver will run about $15-$20 USD/day* with a max out of pocket being $120-$150 USD. Budget Rent a Car Age Policy

Like many of our other trusted suppliers, the age minimum to rent a car from Budget varies from country to country. For instance Germany has a minimum age of 21 and a maximum age of 90 to rent a car, while in Mexico the minimum is 18, while the maximum is 70. Also keep in mind that drivers under 25 in most locations will have to pay a young driver fee. Budget Rent a Car Toll Policy

In the event that you use Budget's e-Toll you will be charged a $3.95* convenience fee for each day of your rental, including the days you do not use the e-Toll, with a maximum of $19.75* in convenience fees per month, plus that cash value of the tolls passed. If you not not use the e-Toll you will not be charged.

Rental Car Add-Ons And Local Fees When Booking With Budget

To save money, we recommend reserving any special add-ons at the time of booking your rental, rather than when presented with the options upon your arrival. Not only will this cut down on time at the rental counter, but also ensure that Budget has all of the items ready to go, as sometimes in peak seasons suppliers may not have enough booster/child seats for everyone who did not reserve theirs ahead of time.

Does Budget Rent a Car Have a Lost & Found Department?

Should you discover that you have misplaced an item and believe it was left in your rental, please contact the Budget rental office where you dropped of your car. Do I Need Special Paperwork to Rent a Car From Budget?

Can I Pay For My Rental From Budget With a Debit Card?

Those wishing to pay by debit card may do so at many of Budget's locations, however you should keep in mind that in the even that you use a debit card, Budget reserves the right to place a hold on your card that ranges from $100 - $500. Also, drivers under the age of 25 are not permitted to pay for their rental via debit card. We always recommend paying for your rental with a credit card like Visa, MasterCard, American Express or similarly accepted cards, but should you prefer to pay with a debit card, we at Auto Europe are more than happy to point you in the direction of a supplier that accepts them, like Budget.

The Budget car fleet averages less than six months on the road and vehicles undergo regular preventative maintenance and emissions inspections, making their vehicles more energy efficient than older or poorly-maintained vehicles. Their fleets offer a range of eco-friendly vehicles that are fondly referred to as Budget Green Machines. These vehicles have EPA ratings of at least 28 miles per gallon (highway) or better and are SmartWay Certified.  In order to receive a SmartWay designation, a vehicle must receive a combined score of 13 or better on Air Pollution Ratings and Greenhouse Gas Ratings. Vehicles that receive this certification are better environmental performers in comparison to other vehicles.
