Stop in Iceland For Free - In our opinion, one of the coolest perks offered by an airline is Icelandair's free-layover benefit that allows travelers to add Reykjavik to their European itinerary. As an enticing bonus, many of Iceland's major attractions are also free, and while slightly obscure, will add an exciting element to your winter trip. Spend some time exploring its geysers, barren parks and sea cliffs, then relax in its famous geothermal spa, the Blue Lagoon. If your children are under 13 when you visit the Blue Lagoon, guess what? You guessed it, they get in for free! 

Free National Park Admission - For outdoor enthusiasts traveling in the United States, the National Park System is a no-brainer for inexpensive fresh-air activities, but if your trip happens to coincide with National Park Week in April, or one of the other fee-free days, you've hit the wilderness jackpot. While you'll still have to pay for camping and concessions, entrance fees, commercial tour fees and transportation entrance fees will all be waived.
