Auto Europe offers several different services and products that let you customize your rental. Perhaps you'd like a GPS with maps of all the countries you intend to visit, programmed and ready to go in English, or maybe you prefer to drive your dream car while visiting the French Riviera? In either case, Auto Europe's knowledgeable agents will assist you in making sure your rental experience is suited to fit your needs. The following amenities are the most commonly requested extras by our clients.
Additional Driver
You may have an additional driver named on your reservation when booking with Auto Europe. In most cases, there is a fee for this, and it will need to be paid locally. Young drivers may be charged a higher rate, and the cost of this service, along with specific terms and conditions, are established by the local supplier. Auto Europe has contracts with several rental car companies throughout the world, and we will help you choose one that offers the best rates for all of the services you require.
GPS
Auto Europe has a
GPS rental department and loans these devices to clients residing within the U.S. We ship the unit to your home before you depart on your travels. It will arrive with all the maps you requested and programmed in English. When you return to the states, just send the GPS back to us. Most suppliers rent GPSs locally, which is a good alternative if you only need it for a couple days. Auto Europe can help you decide which option is the best value for your trip. We also frequently run specials on GPSs, so ask to speak with one of our representatives about our current deals, and we have cell phone rentals, too!
Automatic
In the U.S. automatic transmissions make up the majority of passenger vehicles, but in Europe, manual transmissions rule the roads. Automatic cars are readily available in major cities, and we will confirm your specific transmission requests before we ask for prepayment of your reservation. Just note that automatic rentals will likely be more costly than manuals because they are less common. If you would like to book an automatic in a more rural location, the car may need to be specially delivered to the supplier for an additional fee. Guaranteed Diesel
Many people like to request diesel vehicles when making bookings in Europe. Some carriers
may offer 'guaranteed diesel' rentals, but it is important to note this may cost a bit more up front. Talk to one of representatives today to see what types of vehicles are available in your destination.
Extras
Before you try and pack that bulky equipment in preparation for your travels, first see if the item can be rented along with your vehicle. The
extra car rental fees on these items will need to be paid locally, but Auto Europe will confirm that a child seat, booster seat or even a ski rack will be set aside for you to pick up with your car. Ask an agent which equipment is available locally.
Additional Insurance
Auto Europe has outstanding Zero Excess rental packages for many locations throughout the world. This great product cuts the insurance deductible out of the picture, and greatly reduces the deposit the supplier will require. When picking up your vehicle, you may be able to purchase additional insurance coverage locally. Likely the carrier will offer personal accident coverage and extra protection for the windshield, chassis and tires.
Chauffeur Service
