" We leased a new 2019 Peugeot 308 for 2 months while traveling all over France (5000 miles). This is a wonderful car with a couple small drawbacks. It's a bit hard to enter and exit. You have to duck way down to enter the car (I am 6 ft 5" tall). The 6-speed manual shift is a little "mushy", but it is very smooth. Braking and acceleration is wonderful. Fuel economy is very good. Driving the "A" roads are an absolute pleasure. Smooth, quiet and very stable at any speed. The seat back is adjusted with a large wheel rather than a lever which would have been much easier. I did find that the car's low ceiling put the rear view mirror in my way when traveling many of France's beautiful winding mountain and canyon roads, but the car's handling was a blast. I will have to say that I often have a problem finding the locations to pick up and return cars as a general rule, but that's Europe not the fault of the rental car company. Charles de Gaulle airport is the absolute worst – a nightmare at best. I have driven a fair number of Peugeots in the past and will continue. Thanks again, Chris in Richmond Virginia USA "

At the airport on the day of departure (November 25th), 8 am, there was hardly any spot in the parking at CDG to park the car, and no one at the office. I put the key in the drop-off box. Upon my return in the US, I call to notify that I had no issues with the car, that I had done the gas fill up and put the keys in the box. I haven't received an email to confirm that everything was in order. "

" Only few phone calls and the explanation of the lease option was very understandable. All the papers were sent on time and we retuned them and got acknowledgment all was OK. We have been using Auto Europe past 20+ years or so. Have done the Lease Options before...price about 1/2 the rentals as we like Mercedes. Nice to drive a new car. Many stares from people at this new model. I'm sure Peugeot does this as a form of advertising reason for favorable price. We recommend Auto Europe to all family and friends. "
" This is no fault of Peugeot but unfortunately for us being only 2 people we found the 3008 SUV a bit too large and it seemed wider going through small streets in Italy. But on the Autostrada it rode very nicely with pickup and speed. "

" I'm a come back customer with the Peugeot rental by Auto Europe in France when we go back to visit our families every two to three years. We very much enjoy our rental experience using Peugeot through Auto Europe. "
" Just a side note about the vehicle.... The Peugeot 508 car is a very nice and very comfortable car, but we drove for about 4 hours at night (total trip was a 9 hours) with a maximum brightness dashboard and navigation center console; couldn't find the displays brightness adjustment even after downloading all the rental vehicle documentation from the Auto Europe website. The CDG TT French office couldn't give me the answer over the phone for the brightness adjustment and referred me to calling a local Peugeot dealership at my first destination about 1,000 km south from Paris which gave me a 98% correct answer in saying that the minimum displays brightness setting for the night would interfere with the daylight brightness setting and need to be readjusted for the daylight driving. It turned out to be wrong, the car switches automatically the displays brightness between min setting for the night and max setting for the day following the automatic headlight turning on and off. Auto Europe should provide a one page document for addressing the very basic info tied to driving safety such as console display brightness adjustment especially when picking up the rental vehicle at night; or at the very least, making sure that the rental vehicle documentation provided on the Auto Europe website is accurate to the rental vehicle latest features. "

" We picked up the car at CDG and returned it at the Bordeaux train station. Both experiences were easy and the staff was friendly and efficient. We also stopped at 2 different EC agencies on our journey with help programming the navigation and where to find a gas station that accepted cash instead of using a credit card and both agencies were very helpful. The only downside of the car was the airconditioning didn't work, which only was a problem for 2 days. The rest of the time it was cool and overcast. "

The experience with the TT Transit franchise operation at the Paris airport was exceptionally good, efficient, and friendly. The only issue was finding the courtesy phone on arrival at the airport. " I went to Europcar in terminal 2. My car was in terminal 1. They said someone would bring it over in 20 mins. I took 2 hours and the car was filthy with trash in it. The counter staff told me over and over that the car was on its way. Lastly they told me it arrived 1:45 mins later and it wasn't. I was visibly frustrated and the manager said that now I would have to wait an extra hour! This after they repeatedly lied to me and treated me like a nuisance. I could have easily traveled to terminal one since my wife was already in a taxi from Paris to meet me. But the truth is that the car was not ready there either since it was a mess when it finally arrived. I will never do business with Europ Car again. I am a 4 million miler with Delta. I have rented thousand of cars over 35 years, and I have never experienced anything this bad. "

" Good experience with car. All went well. But, we tried to contact Hertz in Paris at the numbers provided to let them know we would be a little late dropping car off at CDG. We were not able to make contact as the calls were dropped each time we selected "English". So, we contacted Auto Europe and were able to speak to a representative that informed us that it would be ok to be a little late. We let him know about our lack of being able to contact Hertz Paris at the phone numbers provided on our paperwork. Dropping off at Terminal 1 was confusing and we were told by what we assume was a Hertz attendant to leave the key in the drop box right there in the garage with no inspection of the vehicle. We did, but were a little concerned that we hadn't been able to go directly to the desk or that no one had inspected the car upon our return. I would suggest that those instructions be on the paperwork since it seems to be ok that we dropped the car and keys in the garage at Terminal 1 with no attendant to inspect vehicle. It all seems to have worked out well though. "

" The drop-off fee for a different location is really just outrageously expensive and to be honest, is a huge discouragement from renting a car at all. While the pick-up in Paris was relatively smooth, it was really difficult to find the location, even though I called and asked. The car itself was fine, except for the annoying beeping everytime one came within a foot of anything parking, or pulling up to a ticket machine, etc. Overall, good experience, quick (although in Paris, the guys were clearly shortstaffed and working super hard for everyone there). " Upon arrival, we upgraded to include GPS and was told car assigned had GPS installed but when we got to car there was no GPS so we had to get an employee from Hertz to find an add on unit to install and he was to amend the contract to show we were an hour later after actually receiving equipment ordered. Upon return, we were told we would be charged extra day as we were an hour later than original contract - agent who found GPS remembered changing contract and taking extra time to get on road. I had to ask for a copy of the contract receipt card to be provided and am still not sure the deposit was removed from my Visa account. " The Europcar agency Paris Gare du Nord is AWFUL. The employees were so rude, to the point of being aggressive, acting like bouncers in a nightclub. Also, they made me sign that I was responsible for all damages to the car. This has never happened to me before. Usually I just refuse the Theft Damage Waiver because it's covered by my card. Also, I was not given the car I reserved, a Kangoo. I specifically chose that because I had to move some bulky items. I was given a Zafira instead, much less convenient. Again, with no excuse or apologies, just more rudeness. PLEASE consider removing the Paris Gare du Nord agency from your availability to clients. They are terrible. "

" I was happy to get the car booking for the type of car i needed and at a price i wanted. However there were quite a few post rental charges that disappointed me and marred my experience. I rented the car for 128 USD for two days and on top i had to pay another almost 70Euros (approx 90USD). Wish i had known about these charges upfront. Though i have to admit there was a mention of such charges in the "fine print", which i didnt pay much attention to. "

" The car that was booked, Citreon C5 station wagon was not available, and so an alternate Mercedes C220 was offered and accepted. Everything was great, and since we agreed to the 4-door sedan, trunk space was tight. However, the built-in GPS froze on entering back into Paris and with rush hour traffic on New Year's Eve it was very difficult to navigate to our hotel. After a stressful one and half hour delay, we located and arrived at our hotel. We did not use the car till the following day, and the GPS seemed to 'healed" itself as we had no further problems with it. "

" There were the usual problems at Paris CDG on arrival - disinterested, unmotivated staff, a long wait for the vehicle beyond the pre-arranged pickup time, and the car that was ordered (even the TYPE of car) once again unavailable (as it was last year with Hertz). That was all quite stressful, after a very long flight. However, Europcar did provide an upgrade to a better vehicle (albeit to one with a luggage capacity than that ordered). SO in the end we were fairly satisfied. But it does make you wonder ... will the basic service ever improve? "

Clear signage seems to be a problem in France, but for a company that must have many foreign customers, even a sign with an arrow pointing down to the garage entrance would be helpful. Signage was even worse where we returned the car (Charles de Gaulle airport). It was almost impossible to find your office in Terminal 1, and when we finally got there at 4PM, it was locked. Signs clearly indicating the elevators, instead of a rather blank series of red panels, would also be of some help. Retrieving and returning a car should NOT be a traumatic experience! "
