" Always a great experience. We still worry about the "call 4 days before drop off" because at the end of the stay things are a bit crazy, especially if you own a home and getting things shut down. Maybe a tickler email with a respond "on plan" option. That is it equals the lease record. Also in Nice, if your departing from Terminal 1 at 0630. you need to be at the TT hut at 0430. We live in a rural part of Italy, just over the boarder. It would be nice to have an all wheel or 4 wheel drive option with better tires. Not that Michelin tires are bad just limited rim height and road clearance. "

I tried working through them to reverse the charge but they claimed (after 45 days of emails!) that the charge was correct and they wouldn't reverse it. I then contacted Auto Europe who worked directly with EuroCar to get the charge reversed. Wish I had called Auto Europe first! "

" The pick-up experience at Nice Airport could best be described as awful. The system of getting a "check-in" number and then waiting to be called to a check-in counter just doesn't work. Firstly, the display screens don't show you where you are in the que so you have no idea how long you will be expected to wait. Very bad for the customer. Second, even though there is a "check-in" procedure my wife and I saw at least three separate incidences where waiting customers just walking up to check-in representatives when they had finished with a customer and getting checked in, even when their numbers had not been called. When we pointed this out to one of the Europe Car employees helping with the check-in she just shrugged and walked away. Third, the check-in girl was totally uninterested in her work and just got rid of us as fast as she could. Having just experienced the way this system should work at Hertz in Heathrow Airport our frustration was immense. I suggest Europe Car go and see how it should be done. "

" My only comment is about the drop-off, it was quite difficult to find the drop-off point at Paris CDG airport. The recommended address for the GPS "Rue Eugène Poubelle" was incorrect (a different address was supplied after calling TT Car directly and they recommended we use "Rue de Madrid" instead). Also, the photos aren't that helpful as they are many roads that look similar, there are several ways to access to the airport (we didn't come from Paris) and signage can be misleading. So it would be more useful to also provide a small map of the airport with a clear indication of where the drop-off point is situated as well as the easiest route to get there. "

At the car rental pick up desk inside Terminal 2, there is a very tiny sign, very hard to notice at the THRIFTY desk! " Hertz Desk : Too much time to wait before being served ( almost 45 min - 5 customers waiting before me - 4 staff members working. Each time I rent at Hertz, they need to re-encode all my data ( name passport number,driving licence number etc ) because I rent throug Auto Europe and not directly by Hertz. It takes a minimum of 15 minutes more.... This can be a real improvement should Hertz be able to get our data automaticaly back each time we rent.. "

" Unfortunately I had 2 contretemps: 1) with a concrete pillar and the Renault Clio which is made so flimsily that its front wing fell apart and 2) with another car at a temporary roundabout and the car slid into another..Little damage to my car but some to other car. I am waiting for the bill from Hertz and holding my breath. Otherwise a good deal. I wish somebody would specialise exclusively in minis and fiat 500s. I dislike the french cars intensely = no character. "

" I love the small Peugeot diesels. The model 208 fits my needs perfectly and gets great fuel economy. A small car is an absolute must when driving in Italy and France. Parking becomes a real issue and the smaller, the better. The 208 with the 1.6 liter diesel is ideally suited for small streets too. "

He always made it an especially rewarding experience, particularly when there was the rare problem (as happened a couple of times). "

" Hertz Nice did not have the MPV as ordered (EG Ford S-Max, Renault Espace) but offered a 5 seater volvo xc 60 at 20 euros/day extra. This did not meet my needs; Hertz than resorted to offer me a Ford Transit 9 seater commercial van, which is extremely inconvenient on the small roads that constitute France. Hertz insited they had the right to offer this van as it was the same categorie as the MPV which I frankly think is bull. Bad service, badly delivered "

Then I had to interrupt my holidays to return and take a car that was barely in the class that I reserved. Lastly, the car seat options were absolutely disgusting. I wonder if any of your executives or those of Europcar would feel happy about putting their children in such dirty and unhygienic car seats. I just couldn't believe that they had the nerve to offer such dirty options to their customers. The service staff was indifferent, as obviously they did not have the facilities (or instructions) to clean them. "

" Returning the car to Charles De Gaulle Airport has been stressful. I arrived about 7h50 in the morning to Terminal 1 rental car return parking.. I waited until 8h10 but no one came to the office. Some very rude Auto Europe people came and yelled at me to move the car. So I parked the car in space 85 and went to the desk in Terminal 1. The representative there asked if I had a good trip with the car and then took the key. No one checked the car in, looked at the mileage, or gave me a receipt. I thought everything was find until I received a call in the middle of the night in the US asking where the car was? Eva, said the car had not been turned in. So right now, I do not know if the car has been found and I'm very concerned! "
