" Fantastic car I was the first renter to drive it. I had to return to the USA earlier because of the Coronavirus. Therefore I returned it to Manchester instead of Heathrow since there were no more direct fights to Denver out of Heathrow and I was desperate to get home. To my surprise I was charged a fee of $126.10 I'm assuming it was because I had returned my vehicle to a different location. In view of the fact I had returned my car 5 days earlier and since I had to get back to the USA before all borders were closed I find it disgusting that your company would do that especially during these worrying times!! Please advise.. BTW I rent from your company quite often. "

" I have used Auto Europe for several years and will continue to do so. I like the ease with which I can navigate the web site and choose my vehicle. I appreciate the prompt issuance of a certificate. One time I was having trouble finding the car I wanted (it turned out that I was mistakenly on a premium page) and when I called, the associate who assisted me was absolutely outstanding. No reason for me to try out any other company. "
" I was impressed with the ease with which I was able to collect my car at LHR and also with the quality of the service at the counter. I have grown tired with other rental companies who aggressively try to upsell: why not have an automatic, you should buy more insurance because you cannot trust your credit card, take a larger car etc etc. Hertz simply serviced the contract that I had and did it with a smile. On return, I was impressed with the efficiency - I think it took all of two minutes for the technician to check out the car, mileage, petrol and to send me on my way. Finally, the shuttle service to and from the terminal was excellent. I will continue to use Auto Europe and will definitely continue to choose a Hertz vehicle. "

The counter staff while friendly to begin with became less and less so as he realized i was not to be upsold to the point were he was barely civil. " I have had car rentals from EuropCar on several previous as a result of using the Auto Europe website. There have been 2 occasions when I have experienced less than positive experiences. When I dropped off my most recent EuropCar I was informed that I was being charged 562 Pounds for "Medium Coverage" insurance that I had consciously "Declined" when I picked up m y rental car. The rental car experience was excellent up until the time I returned the car. The next several days were extremely stressful as I had to spend a considerable amount of time contacting various individual from EuropCar in an effort to resolve the "mistake": made by the EuropCar sales agents. I appreciated how quickly EuropCar accepted responsibility for the "mistake" and informed me that the charges they had taken from my credit card would be returned. However, while I am likely to rent from EuropCar again, I must admit this is the 2nd similar experience I have encountefred when renting from EuropCar. "

" I was very angry that EuropCar used an opaque upsell technique at the counter. We eventually saw through it and declined, but it wasted 25 minutes at the counter. We had a 6 hour drive ahead of us and just wanted to get going. We also waited 35 minutes in queue just to get to the counter. Clearly this technique is employed on every client who has to try and sort out the negotiations foisted on them at the counter. The ploy went like this: the agent noticed we were driving far and was worried that we were going to spend a lot and On petrol. He was going to try and find a diesel car for us. He left the counter walked around and came back with keys to a small Mercedes. He said it was going to be 50 pounds more, but that that we would easily save that in petrol. Coming from the US, it was not easy for me to guess if that was true because I didn't know petrol prices I. The UK or the gas mileage of the two cars in question. He took out a small scrap of paper and wrote the numbers on it - after folding it over to a clean spot, which showed that he had clearly been writing down numbers for several people in front of us. We agreed that it would be a good deal, and he prepared the paperwork, and charged our card for the deposit. Only then did he say that the manager has to approve it, or else I'll get in trouble because it such a good deal. So the manager comes over and now finally explains the "deal" fully which is that it is 50 pounds per day additional equaling 500 pounds total additional! We chose Europe Car because it was the best price I found. I did not want to waste another 500 pounds of my holiday money on a Mercedes I didn't need. We refused the "deal", and suddenly he could work very quickly and get us out of there lickety-split – revealing that once he had lost the upsell, "he just wanted to move us out to make space for the next victim that he could try and upsell. The whole experience left a very bad taste in my mouth about Europe Car. I don't care if you have the cheapest prices, I will never use you again, and tell everyone about this story and dissuade them from using Europe Car. I will use hurts, of whom I am a gold member. They have a service where are you bypass the counter and walked right up and she is one of four cars and drive away. My vacation time is precious to me as it has cost me a lot to get there. "

" They tried to "upsell" me when I went to pick up the car. During the rental period I had to call road side assistance as the service light came on. It was explained to me that EuRopcar had failed to top up the oil. On returning the car I filled the tank but the dial did not show full which was stressful. The staff said oh this happens with Peugeot !! On returning to the States I see my credit card is being charged for the exact price of the rental even though I prepaid with Auto Europe.....now I have to spend my time following up on this !! "

" Very glad I had paid for zero deductible insurance for driving in England. They diligently inspect the passenger's side (left side) tires for scuffs and small gouges. Previous tire damage may not be noted when first taking rental of the car, but it will be found upon return. Gouges difficult to see as they are small, and you must use your sense of touch to discover them. These gouges are then noted as "ripped/torn tire" and charge to you unless you have zero deductible. "

While your profit is more important than all else, a little more appropriate car allocation should be practiced by your sales team. The GPS training (15 GBP per day for GPS as Europcar does not provide maps) was very insufficient despite repeated requests for clarification. Caused frustration....ultimately my spouse figured out the built in system, but we were very disappointed that Europcar employees aren't proficient in a product they provide/sell. The car came VIctoria Station .MY National voucher number is us4083982 -1 under the name of Peter Wegner Australia There is another number National reservation number 790306678 . I had $91.80 Australian taken out of my credit card from Shell Buckingham . I have also a documentation that on the same day l filled the car up from the same service station . He expressed disbelief at the low rate and made me wait over an hour to process the voucher. He also made a mistake in entering the voucher for 41 days instead of the 42 days. I don't believe this person was representative of the rest of the National staff who were helpful and cooperative when I returned the car. "

" what ever happened, i had booked aparently a car without insurance, they claimed they would not give me the car unless I booked an insurance for about 100 pounds with a limited liability of about 900 pounds "

" Overall good. On pickup the service was quite slow. I did not notice a scratch on a door even though it was a new car as it was parked in a dark corner of the garage. My wife saw it when I picked the family up from our hotel but did not mention it to me till two days later. I reported to AVIS via phone. Car was good; decent size and power. Very low fuel consumption (diesel). Now waiting to see whether AVIS will waive the repair fee for that small scratch which I thought is rather high at about $500+ Please check your vehicles carefully before driving off. "
