Driving License Requirements in Lithuania

To drive a car in Lithuania you must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license from your home country that is in good standing. If you do not have a photo ID then you must carry your passport with you at all times while driving a rental car in Kaunas and other location throughout the country.

Parking Information

Finding a parking space can be tough in the city, you are better off parking on the outskirts where you are more likely to find a space. To park within the city costs 3 litas, to park just outside will cost you 1 - 2 litas. The machines for tickets do not give change, so make sure you have exact change ready when traveling with your rental vehicle in Vilnius.

One-way Car Rentals

Suppliers allow domestic and international one way car rental. They require a minimum three day booking for one ways. The fees for one way rentals vary between the locations, car class and the suppliers; all one way fees are paid locally at time of pick up.
