" Auto Europe was very easy to deal with. I had a question during the car rental period, and I emailed them. I had an answer within 24 hours, which was fine since it was not an urgent question. I've also had in previous times had to call Auto Europe and they were very helpful. I go back to them again and again when I have car rental needs. "

" Overall, very easy. Other than pointing out the car, no one helped me with it, however, and while I've driven many a stick shift, there were differences that I had to find someone to ask about. There was a key fob and a start button, and I didn't know that I had to push in the clutch to start the car and not the brake pedal, which is more usual to me. There should be at least a quick overview of the car, lights, wipers, what kind of gas, etc., before rushing back into the office. Also, I had no idea of the tax I would owe at the end. I knew about the gas, but not about the Euro 80 tax, which fortunately was not a problem, but not known ahead of time. Car was great, had a screen that I could pair my phone with and had the apps right there, and overall experience was good. "

There are no Peugeot dealers in our area so we were not able to look at a similar car before we committed to the short-term lease option. The car really was too small for 4 adults to fit comfortably. " The Auto Europe interaction was very easy. We even had the unfortunate situation where someone hit our vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot overnight, causing only minor cosmetic damage, and with a couple of emails of photos of the damage all was taken care of. No time lost from our trip or hassles with insurance claims. I will recommend this to anyone wanting to do a tour of Europe. "

" The only problem with the car (a Nissan) was that it was woefullly underpowered for a car of its size and weight, which made it a problem on the German Autobahn where one needs a responsive machine to negotiate the quick speeds for passing. Even downshifting into, say, fourth gear from seldom provided the safe acceleration needed. Also, even on gradual inclines I often had to downshift to maintain a reasonable pace. "

" Had a slight problem with the car. M-B E 220 d. On the A-7 crossing the Afsluitdijk, traffic down to one lane, car would not accelerate. Would only go 5 or 6 MPH no matter where my foot was. After .6 mile was able to get to right and restart. OK after that. Inside of windshield was dirty. Dangerous into setting sun. Otherwise, loved the car. Returning car was chaos. Lots of returns at same time. Hertz agent was good. He backed me into a space with the front hanging out. All he could do. Ten minutes later the place was empty. "

" My only negative comment is that the care manual was written in Dutch only. It would have helped if the rental agent had explained the cruise control. It took several attempts to figure out how to use the cruise control. The Renault had one switch between the seats that turned it on. Not auto europes fault, just a bad car design. It took an additional step to turn the system "on" (left hand side of the steering column) to set the speed. Lastly a third off/resume switch (on the right hand side of the steering column) was needed to complete the process. "

The only pro: it was a diesel wiich runs more fuel efficient.. However..noticed that in Europe MINI, Fiat500 and Ford Ka are ALSO available with DIESEL they are getting easily 70Mpg!!!:-o WISH them lil 70mpg vehicles where sold here in the good O'L USA!!! :-P Other then that; Flawless and Pleasant Transaction. " Very good in Amsterdam. The WiFi device that we purchased with Avis did not work after the first day. In addition, when dropping the vehicle off in Florence, there was NO direction regarding where to leave keys, contract, etc. There were only people milling around the area of drop off. I'm hopeful all was well after our drop-off. Not a great feeling leaving the vehicle in the lot with no supervision, keys in the car, and contract on the seat! "

" We had pre-arranged our car rental before leaving the the U.S. Everything went well picking up the car, which was within walking distance of our Amsterdam hotel. Staff were very friendly and professiional. They even accommodated us by changing our drop off location to the Ship hold airport instead of Amsterdam office at no additional cost. We loved this little diesel stick shift car. Thank you auto europe. Even had GPS, but we had brought ours along. Kudos to the Amsterdam office staff. "
