" Auto Europe was great to connect us with AvantCar, but they were unable to answer a few questions that we had since they were not the rental agency itself. There ended up being pros and cons to going though a third-party agency, but in the end, we were glad we found out about them. "
" We liked the car a lot, but it had no windshield wiper fluid in it and we often had to drive with a dirty windshield. We felt that the price was quite good except that we felt pressured to buy the extra insurance, which we regretted immediately after. We had not planned to buy the extra insurance, but we were tired after a long day of travel and agent made it seem crucial to purchase the extra insurance, which we didn't need because our credit card has rental insurance. We will not let that happen again if we ever decide to use AvantCar in the future. "

" The rental agent was very good and seemed genuinely concerned that we knew what actions to take in case of an accident or some other incident. However, it was a long wait to get to to either of the 2 agents. there were only 2 people ahead of us and the wait was close to 35 minutes. And they should provide the agents with maps. "

" Generally satisfied and everything went as expected. Just came as surprise how carefully FLEET employees expect the car before rent and after return. They listed all even the smallest marks (down to 2mm size) on wheels plastic caps and body. After return the guy inspected every surface of the car. Sure enough he found hear line scratch on side mirror plastic cover (about 0.2 mm wide and 1 cm long). It was dark when I picked up car, so I am not sure it was even there or not. I bought all included version, so he said I was not responsible for anything. However, just the fact that FLEET employee noticed it and showed it to me was entertaining. I rented cars in various countries and never saw anyone go to that extend or anything like this. :) "

" My only problem was with the return in Dubrovnik, it said to go to the Avis desk for drop off. I was there when they opened at 8am, no one had showed up by 8:20, and I had to catch a flight. So the Hertz guy told me to drop everything through the slot. I would prefer to have someone look at the car and sign off on it rather than just leave it and not know what happens after that. "

" Both in Zagreb downtown office and in Dubrovnik Rixos hotel office, no one was at the office when we arrived. In Zagreb we had to call a phone and wait about 10 minutes. In Dubrovnik we had to wait for about 25 minutes since no one answered the phone. Otherwise the experience was ok. Car given was almost new. "

" I requested an audi A4 or similar car and i was given a late model mercedes C200 that had numerous dents dings and scratches all over the sides of the car. On the vehicle condition paperwork there were over 23 locations detailing some kind of damage. To make matters worse I received a final charge more that $140 than I was expecting, Having auto europe look into these charges. The car rental location at the airport did not open until 8AM and I had a 7:25AM outbound flight, needed to drop off 7AM and I believe I was charged an additional $60. this is unfair since car left 10 feet outside Fleet office and keys / paperwork placed in drop box. I am dissatisfied with Fleet. I ended up paying over $1060 for a six day car rental (ouch!!) "

" well when I dropped off the car in Dubrovnik the guy at the enterprise tried telling me I only had half a tank of gas when I stopped at the gas station 2 minutes prior to dropping off the car. He said that while the car was on a decline so the readings were definitely off. Other than that it was great. Ive used enterprise in the past with no complaints. "

" We were unhappy with their service. First of all we had to wait almost an hour to get served. They only had one person on duty, Secondly they did not have the automatic transmission car we paid extra for and at first did not seem willing to provide us with one. Only after explaining that we did not know how to drive stick shift did he end up getting a vehicle from enterprise car rental. The first day we had it I checked the oil and it needed a liter of oil which I put in , but obviously the car had not been serviced before we got it. "

" Have to be super careful about any pre existing scratches as they try to push blame on you. Take pictures before you leave the lot and note every little scratch or marking. Sides, front, wheels, under the front and under the back, EVERYWHERE and keep them in your iphone for when you return the car. Much different experience then n the states.In the end, no charge , but tried to make a case for two infinitesimal black lines on the rear bumper. "

" We arrived to pick up our car at the Westin in Zagreb, at the appointed time, but the car was not there. First, they said the car was stuck in traffic. Then later, they said it had been in an accident and they got us a new car from the airport. After waiting at least an additional hour the new car came. They didn't have the GPS we asked for, but they gave us a WIFI hotspot to use with our phone which worked well. They gave it to us for free and discounted the drop off fee, so that we would only have to pay 250 Kuna when we dropped the car off in Split. The car was brand new with only 40 km on it. When we dropped it off in Split the agent wanted to charge me a full drop off fee and WIFI charge. I told him of the discount and showed.. "

He said ok, but there was no FLEET contract or agreement number on my paperwork and he couldn't pull it up in his system or talk to the Zagreb office. So, he said when he finalized the paperwork he will take the 250 Kuna out of our deposit and he took my credit card number. I am concerned that the charge will be incorrect, but we will see. "

" The paperwork and the car were ready at the desk at Zagreb airport. The lady at Fleet counter wanted to charge me extra for insurance, since "I was 73 years of age" even though I have 72 years. I presented the paper from Auto Europe, where it is clearly stated that no additional charges are to be paid. Then she wanted to charge me extra for driving though Slovenia to get to Istra peninsula on western edge of Croatia, even though Slovenia is a member of European Union. I bypassed Slovenia. She wanted to collect 40 Euros for returning the car before 8 AM (my plane left at 7:25AM). Fleet representative was trying to get extra money under any pretense. Tom, the person that took me to the car, apologized for the treatment I received at counter. "

" Car was new and cute, ended up with a 4 door instead of the 2 door confirmed, so that was good. But the car was dirty, inside and out. A warning light came on the first day, with no identification of the problem. Turned out there was no water. I stopped at a gas station, they filled it, and I had no further issues with it. Then, when I came to return the car, at the scheduled time, there was no one at the office, just a note on the door to call. I had no way to call, since my cell doesn't work there, and there are no pay phones any more. I got a neighboring car rental agent to call Fleet for me, but no answer. I ended up waiting about an hour in the hot sun. On a positive note, we were given a ride to Old Town. "

" 1.) Pickup was not ready when we arrived. Rental desk, advertised to be open from 08:00 - 17:00 daily was un-manned. Hotel Esplanade staff had to call Oryx for us - took 1 hour from arrival at office to departure. 2.) Weather related road closures forced us to keep the car one extra day - were forced to pay excessive daily rental fee as penalty. Rental for 2 days was $65 - the extra day cost us $92. AND dropoff of the car took close to one hour. 3.) Would not use them again, even thought the car itself was is good shape, the service and exploitation were unacceptable. "
