Please keep in mind that Auto Europe does not condone drinking and driving in any way, shape or form. However, if you are planning on having a drink at the pub, or sampling some bespoke wines, you should be well aware of the laws of the country you are in, especially when many of them have far stricter drunk driving laws than we find in the USA.
Below you will find a list of the countries in Europe as well as their corresponding legal limit levels. If you see more than one number next to a country it is due to them having more than one legal limit. From left to right, the lower numbers apply to new or young drivers, while the larger number applies to experienced drivers. For example: France has two legal limits .02% and .05%. The .02% applies to young drivers and those who have had their license for less than three years, while the .05% applies to older drivers and those who have held a license for longer than three years.
