" It was out first car rental abroad, so we were quite afraid of that, but since we got into Hertz office, everything was fine. We had such a delay on our attending, but nothing that could damage our experience. We picked our car up and traveled to 7 countries and around 4.000 kilomethers and had any problem. When we went to devolution, all the process took less than 5 minutes. We were charged nothing else but the taxes needed as informed on Autoeurope voucher. Definitely recommend. "

" We rented an A3 or similar and were told our chosen car was only available in a Jeep Renegade - that is not an equivalent car in our opinion. It was also electric neon blue. That is not a good looking or decently non-descript car. We almost went back to the desk to demand another car but were too tired after a 32 hour flight day. "

" We needed help from Auto Europe back in 2015, when we were involved in a minor auto mishap and, after returning the car, began to find some serious, yet totally unjustified Europcar charges showing up on our credit card (we had purchased FULL insurance coverage just in case). One call to Auto Europe and ALL those charges were erased! I have been a MAJOR Auto Europe promoter since that time, steering many friends and colleagues toward Auto Europe. All have been better than satisfied. "

" Car we received had a lot of physical damage. Inside was fine. Tires were horrible. We had to constantly fill one with air. We left it in a parking lot for 7 days while we cruised. It was flat when we returned. There was a Hertz office at the port. They gave us an air compressor to re-fill the tire. Then we turned in the vehicle and were given another one for the remainder of the cruise. Very inconvenient to constantly have to put air in a tire and to lose about 3 hours in the exchange process. "

For example, placement of parking brake handle makes the little "pocket " in the center console useless when brake is off. " Booking the vehicles was super easy and we really appreciated how easy it was to choose "no deductible" insurance rates for peace of mind rental agreements. We would definitely use this site again. We may opt for car rental company other than Hertz. "
" Booking the car very easy. At the airport, very sadly the computer system was down at Hertz counter. The staff still tried to be helpful. However, one very important factor was debated, and it's critical to provide such feedback to your company. Our 3 reservations clearly stated "no deductible" insurance waivers on each vehicle. However, the staff all initially said that was ONLY with AutoEurope, but thT it did not mean "no deductible" insurance with Hertz itself. They initially said we would have to buy additional super coverage from Hertz to get that type of coverage. They also said in the event of accident we would have to first pay Hertz for the deductible (with my rental, up to a €230,000 deductible they cited!), and THEN we could try to collect expenses back from AutoEurope the based on insurance we purchased with them. We refused to sign rental agreements accepting those terms, since our rental agreements clearly stated they included "no deductible" insurance, and Hertz itself was using AutoEurope as an authorized booking agency. The only way this disagreement was resolved was when one rental agent called the AutoEurope office to ask if our rental agreement truly did include "no deductible" insurance also from Hertz -- AutoEurope confirmed yes, our rental agreements did already include it. Although the Hertz staff was trying to be helpful, it was not a pleasant experience. It's confusing why they would not clearly understand what is covered by your insurance. Separately, this was the third time i have rented a car with Hertz at Rome airport. Each time the staff was extremely slow with processing customers. It literally took 2-3 hours each time. Also, each time we have noticed customers around us at the other car rental desks, and those agents are processing rental reservations much quicker - within minutes. Please provide Hertz staff some retraining to process reservations in a much more timely way. Also, please ask Hertz and other car rental agencies at Termini station to clearly post the address of the garage where cars are returned. After hours, there is no way to know where to return cars, and it was nearly impossible to find out what to do and where to drop cars off. "

" I will always rent a car when returning to Italy. Driving in Italy - Rome to Molise area and back was easy with the gps from Auto Europe. Receiving the gps via Fed-X worked well, return package and label worked well as there are only drop boxes for Fed-X. I wasn't comfortable just putting the returning package in a dropbox but that is the only choice with Fed-X. "

When we arrived at the garage pickup location 15-20 minutes later, we were told it would be no more than 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the desk agent apologized an offered us an upgrade to a Renault Kadjar. No great, but after our recent experiences with Europcar it was acceptable. "

" On every of my trips I use to rent mainly on budget because I think I obtain the best options compared to the others. Un fortunately this time renting car in Italy was not the case. I rented an bmw on Ciampino airport during two weeks, the guy at the front desk at the airport was super nice and charming, also super profesional explaining and giving me options. The problem arrives at the delivery of the car when after inspection, the guy approach me pointing to the lowest front right part of the car, saying to me that was a scratch there. Now checking for the situation I understand about all the agreements a client sign before receiving a car. I did the mistake to not double check the car before I received it. but now and after go over the situation for me is important to point out on aspects I strongly disagree. When I received the car I was on a light round inspection supposing all was ok, but never checked the lowest parts of the car, (as I regularly never do) I have to say was anyway very difficult to check the car looking for small scratches because the car was not clean, Looking super dirty on the outside and also super dirty (no trash) in the inside at the point that I mentioned to my wife that we better go to any carwash to perform a deep clean mainly inside. which at the end we didn't do. Checking on that scratch, it seems was not any simple touch to any corners the street; it was a visible strong hit that difficultly can be missed when driving, and we never during our trip even listen the touch of the car to anything. " Returning the car at Fiumicino involves navigating a complicated set of roads and at the end you have to enter through the same kind of gate that is associated with entering a paid parking lot. While there is a sign off to the side that indicates that this is also the entrance to EuropCar it is not immediately apparent. I didn't see the sign and I most certainly didn't want to mistakenly enter a parking lot that I would have to pay to get out of. Fortunately my passenger saw the sign. I suggest you improve this by adding a more prominent sign sign saying something like "Rental Car Return" . "
