" I would not have known about the short term vehicle leasing option without AutoEurope. I am glad we took this option rather than a traditional rental car. "

The counter person did not explain completely how the toll pass worked, we got that information from the lot attendant. The car we got was a little old and had quite a bit of dents and scratches on it. It worked fine but did not look the best. "

" Counter agent at Porto Airport was very aggressive in trying to upsell me to a diesel car for an extra charge of Euro 10 per day. She said I would save more than that on fuel cost, which was total nonsense. When I refused she went away and then came back and gave me a diesel car for no extra charge. It was clear that they did not have the class of car I had reserved. But all this took much time and was very annoying. She also was very aggressive in trying to sell me insurance. This was the first time I have had a negative experience with Europcar. The car itself - an Opel Crossland - and the return at Lisbon Airport were fine. "

" It was fine until the drop off. During the inspection the Europcar rep found a cosmetic scrape on the right front rim. I believe this was identified at check out and that the europcar rep at pickup marked the wrong side, as the left had no damage (but damage was indicated on the sheet). Nevermind that we are talking about a scrape that would not even hit the radar in the US, I was charged an extra E70. I disputed the charge and am waiting to hear from Europcar, but its not about the money. I'd like to know from autoeurope if this kind of ticky tack niggling regarding a cosemetic scrape on a car with 35k km on it is normal. if so, I'll suck it up and pay them, but will certainly think twice about choosing them again. Everything else was fine, and BTW I have pictures of both rims, "

" The service was good. But the difficulties we had were with locating the pick-up and drop off locations. The pick up was at meeting point of Porto airport, but we and agent were unable to connect until I called Orbita. In Lisbon, the drop off location's address was not in the Garmin's data base. A cab driver had the same problem. The people at both locations' were very good and the car was terrific. "
