" The Tank was not filled up 100%. It looked full but it was slightly under the full sign. I mean it is no big deal. But if you calculate it how much your company saves through this little amounts it might be understandable for your business but not for the customer. Also the inside of the car was dirty. Right side passenger and the right back had dry visible mud. The key I had to drop off at a gas station across the street in Amberg since it was sunday. It worked out though fine. "

" I had a connection flight from San Diego to San Francisco which was delayed and I missed the flight to Munich. I ended up in Munich at 17:00 instead of 10am. EUROPCAR told in the counter that they did not keep my car and they only have a higher model car and I have to add 90 Euro. I asked for the same level of car that I paid for and they say they don't have it. In the parking I saw many cars of the same level I booked. One more important point: since I was late the car was taken for 4 (four) days only and not for 5 days as I paid for. I wonder whether we can get a refund for the extra day and certainly not pay to EUROPCAR for the fifth day. "

" The rental experience started off very well and was efficient, unlike Hertz and Avis at Munich airport which don't follow Europcar's ticker system. Nice car and easy pick up. Drop off was a different story. No agent in sight. When we finally found her, she was checking cars based on her own system and not in the order they arrived. We were about to give up and just leave the car with the keys, but we found the agent. She said to leave the keys and go but we refused. She then claimed there was a scratch, which we then wiped off and showed her was just a dirt streak. If we hadn't been there, we would have been charged for her carelessness. She then made the correction but said she could not print out a receipt. It was supposedly emailed, but we did not receive it. Work on your return process and you would receive a 10. "

" When we arrived they did not have the category of car we signed up for. They said we'd have to wait till one was returned or they could provide an upgraded car - at our expense. We had to take the upgrade because we were scheduled to be somewhere later that day and a cancelled flight had made us potentially late. They should have provided a car at THEIR expense, not ours. This once happened to us with Avis, also at Munich airport with an Auto Europe rental, and Avis just gave us the upgraded car. I'm assuming that Hertz would not do a "bait and switch" but they do not have an appropriate policy in this situation. "

That said, the staff at the counter was great and ultimately we were happy with the transaction. Not a huge deal, just a minor headache. "

She was unable to help with any information on how to operate the Van and let us know that we had no opportunity to change anything about the rental vehicle. The gentleman who turned the Van over to us did not speak English and could not find anyone to explain the vehicles features. Don't rent a 9 passenger Van in Munich, Germany. The vehicle was so large we had to drive in circles to find a parking space that was large enough for an hour or more each time we returned to our VRBO rental. The 9 passenger Van was manual transmission and had a gutless diesel motor. A really poor combination for driving in crowded cities or the Autobahn. The quote from autoeurope was honored with no hidden fees. Drop off at the airport was excellent. "

Due to the busy time as a result of Octoberfest, the full size car that was originally booked was not available at the time we needed it so the agent upgraded us to the next class up, which happened to be a BMW 525. He even went further and got us an exception to be able to drive into Prague. He was very helpful even though the location was very busy and even provided us with additional information for our trip. The car was in great condition and from inside and out and was a joy to drive. There was a small dent on the front bumper that was missed by the company's initial inspection, but the representative in the garage happily added it on. All in all great service. "

" The car, a Citroen C5, was first quality. However the windshield wipers broke & flew off on the third rental day. This cost me 54 Euros & I lost a day of skiing which I spent finding the wiper replacements & repairing the car. Avis did not reimburse me upon returning the car & was not at all sympathetic to the trouble I experienced. The Avis employees and management at FRA were sub-par with bad attitudes. They should have bent over backwards trying to please me, their customer who had repaired their car at his own expense & who lost a day's vacation dealing with the problem. I was very disappointed in their response to my problem & it took me an extra hour at FRA to explain to them what happened & what they should do about it. "
