Country Specific Road Signs
It is always wise to become familiar with the local customs and procedures of a country before traveling. This is almost imperative regarding traffic road signs, as you can avoid missing a turn and even a potential accident by reviewing information prior to setting out on the open road. Some signs will be written entirely in the country's home language, which could lead to fines or penalties if the posted rules are not followed.
Though an international standard exists for road signs and driving in Europe, you will still find that some signs are unique to a certain country. These pages are designed to supplement the Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals, offering specific information for countries with congestion zone fees, different highway demarcations or even traffic camera warnings.
