Introduction

The Croatian travel industry has made a dramatic comeback since the end of the Yugoslav civil war. Most of the tourist infrastructure is concentrated on the Dalmatian coast. This dramatic coastline, with its warm waters and azure seas, has been a major tourist draw for decades. No visit to Croatia is complete without a stop in Dubrovnik, the 'jewel of the Adriatic'.
