Do I need to bring a helmet?
Every motorcycle will come with one half-helmet. Auto Europe can request 3/4 helmets and full helmets. They are subject to availability, so if you want to guarantee you have a full or 3/4 helmet, you may wish to bring your own.
Do I need a bike lock?
Each motorcycle rental will come with a disk lock and spoke lock, so it is not necessary to bring your own.
What should I wear?
Leather is the safest material to wear on the road. It is highly recommended that you wear long thick pants, and proper motorcycle boots. Shorts, skirts, open toed shoes and sandals are NOT recommended. You may rent jackets, chaps, gloves and more from the location, however the prices of those items are not included in the cost of the rental. You may want to bring a rain suit as well, just in case.
What is the fuel policy?
All motorcycles are rented with a full tank and should be returned with a full tank. If the tank is not full, you may be charged a refueling fee.
Can I get a sidecar for my rental?
Unfortunately sidecars are not available at this time.
What happens if the motorcycle breaks down?
Each rental comes with a toll free emergency telephone number that is given to you when you pick up your motorcycle. You would need to call that number in the event of a breakdown.
Are there age restrictions?
You must be at least 21 years old to rent a motorcycle.
Do I need a motorcycle license to rent a motorcycle?
Yes. Anyone who wishes to rent a motorcycle must posses a valid drivers/motorcycle license from their country of residence. This includes residents of the USA.
Can I pick up in one location and return to another?
Yes. Please contact us to learn more about one way fees, as it will apply to every one way rental.
Can I cross international borders with the motorcycle?
We can request travel outside the (lower 48) United States if you wish to take your motorcycle into Mexico or Canada. It does need to be confirmed in advance, so be sure to let us know so that we can provide you with the proper documentation.
