Space in large cities is known to be limited, but this building takes cramped quarters to a whole other level. The slender structure is about 10 meters in height and 1 meter wide. The slim building is very simple in design, as it features one door, window and room. It was built to fill the space between neighboring residences and served as the home of French novelist Abbe Prevost.

Another unique building that travelers with a car rental in Paris should swing by is the Pagode, a Japanese-style pagoda that stands in the center of the city. Today, this structure serves as an independent movie house.
