The stars will once again converge on Germany this summer for the Munich Film Festival. Travelers can join the famous faces in attendance at this event when they pick up a car rental in Germany.

Between June 29 and July 7, visitors to Munich can attend movie premieres, retrospectives, award ceremonies, question and answer sessions and other film-related events during the festival. In total, approximately 150 flicks are screened for excited cinephiles on an annual basis.

Last year, the festival chose to screen the 1999 film Being John Malkovich, honoring the actor himself with the CineMerit Award. As a result, Malkovich made his way to the event to claim his prize, along with several others from the international film community.

In addition to the CineMerit Award, other film artists will be honored with such prizes as the CineVision Award, the Young German Cinema Award and the Bernd Burgemeister TV Movie Award.

As the festival’s selected movies will be screened at different venues around the city, attendees will want to have a car rental in Munich handy so they do not miss a flick.
