Those who attend one of these concerts will have a chance to hear some of the world’s most talented opera singers. The recital series was first launched in 1999 when its founder Ian Rosenblatt realized that there should be more opportunities for British audiences to hear the types of voices they might only find inside the Royal Opera House.

Since the establishment of the recital series, singers have had an opportunity to perform a selection of arias and songs that allow them to share their talent with larger audiences.

Travelers who have a car rental in the UK can head to St. John’s in Smith Square, where they will be able to see several exciting concerts in the months ahead.

On March 7, tenor Giuseppe Filianoti takes the stage accompanied by Iain Burnside on piano to perform a collection of songs by such composers as Puccini, Cilea and Strauss. The talents of soprano Marina Rebeka will then be on display during an April 18 recital, at which she will sing pieces composed by Schubert and Rachmaninov.
