Even if people have never heard of the Musée du Louvre, or as it more commonly known, the Louvre, there is a good chance they know about some of the pieces on display inside. Those who have a
car rental in France can visit and see what may be the institution’s most famous acquisition - Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
While some museums lose their luster after multiple visits, the Louvre manages to stay fresh with a series of new and temporary exhibits.
For instance, after viewing the Venus de Milo, which is permanently on display, visitors to the Louvre in the month of February can enjoy the final days of the temporary exhibit titled The Relics of Saint Caesarius of Arles. The saint served as the bishop of Arles in the early sixth century, and today, travelers can admire the details in his tunic, sandals and other artifacts that are on display.
Travelers who have a
car rental in Paris this March will want to head to the museum before the 19th to appreciate the temporary exhibit known as Fantin-Latour, Manet, Baudelaire: the Hommage à Delacroix.
