Travelers who will be in Europe during the holidays may want to consider staying a little longer and celebrating New Year's Eve overseas. There will be celebrations across the continent, but individuals who are staying in Germany will want to pick up a car rental in Munich and head to the Tollwood New Year's Eve Party.

Tollwood, a company that organizes cultural events and environmental activities, puts on both a summer and a winter festival each year, with the New Year's Eve Party marking the end of the latter celebration. The Winter Tollwood Festival kicks off on November 23 and runs through December 31 and features enough fun for people of all ages.

Those who attend the festival can sample great food, enjoy cabaret and circus performances and do a little holiday shopping as well.

Come December 31, travelers who have a car rental in Germany can ring in the New Year while listening to live bands and DJs who will provide the soundtrack for the final hours of 2011.
