Generally satified with the price, which is most often less than going to individual car rental companies. I really like it that the "extras" are included, so no surprises except the second driver charge.

Even though snow chains are required in Italy in the winter, I was "lucky" that they had them available to rent to me. The cost was 30 Euros, whereas the Hertz charge a week before was 25 Euros. Also, we booked to return the car to their office in Florence on Borgo Ognisanti, which was closed for lunch when we arrived. There was a sign on the door indicating that the car could be turned in down the street at a parking garage, for an addition fee of 25 Euros. That was surprising and annoying.

The Hertz location in napes, Italy by the Mergellina Railway Station required a 10.00 Euro payment (cash, no receipts) as a drop off fee. I had no choice but to pay it, otherwise they asked me to drop off the car miles away. Also, they provided no car return receipt at all.

Would be good to have car model manual in glove box. We rented a Mercedes and were not familiar with all of the features and dashboard messages.

The agent seemed very helpful but the controls of the auto were not explained. For example, the "ring" control to activate the reverse gear may be common the European drivers but i have never seen it on a U.S. auto. Also, there was a full sized spare tire but no jack was provided.

I didn't get the car I reserved, which was a bit of a bummer since I was looking to driving a Renault. But the care we got was fine.

In and out of the front desk check-in fast. But the drop off location in Lucca was hard to find, because the address online was off. Be sure to update online information.

Will never use Maggiore again. We had a minor damage to taillight lens and small crease right below lens and had to pay a 900 euro deductable. Staff not very helpful and no one spoke acceptable English.

I was not at all happy with Europcar. They gave me car with damage to the body that was not adequately described at pickup and then charged me for this at dropoff. The level of customer service was terrible and I will never use them again. I have also advised my friends of this.
