everything was good except the call center in the usa is closed on weekends and nights.. i had to make a change and was unable to call.. however, emailing went quick with quick response.

I presented a voucher number at the pick up, and that was not enough. It took 20 minutes to get my car until one of the employees was smart enough to figure out that he could go into his own computer and get a voucher. I could not print out a voucher because I did not have a smart phone or internet connection in germany. kinda of a ridiculous situation to put a customer through in this digital age. the number should have been enough. then i was given a car that requred premium fuel. fuel is high enough in europe to not demand that a customer pay for premium benzine.. another cost I did not expect.

The desk was not very informative when giving the car. It was not easy to find the parking place of the rental, nor to get in or out of the parking house. The car actually had two defects. The salesperson tried to get me to upgrade to many things at the time of signature, which was not appreciated. however ,

Return Location at Rome Airport (FCO) was extremely difficult to find. I had to go to another AVIS location in order to find out where to return. Airport had only one small sign at the point of return.

Arrived a bit early for the rental. No diesel cars available. Waited 2 hours for a vehicle, was given a diesel Citreon vs the diesel Audi A3 or MBZ c class as booked via AE. Upon return of vehicle Budget/Avis wanted to charge for the GPS installed in vehicle even though it was not on the contract
