My credit card was charged twice the amount ($142.20 plus $142.20) for one rental and to-date I have not received a refund.

The customer service representative told me that he would immediately innitiate a refund of the double charged rental fee ($142.20). To-date I have not received my refund.

The car booked was Audi A3 or similar. Received VW Golf (not really similar). Even though they are based on the same chasis and engines, Audi is a different class of a car (even price is about 10k higher at purchase).

First gave me a car with problems. Brake light was broke, therefore in less than 4 km to my hotel clutch broke. Then charge me Euros to tow the car. I do not have received any bill after returning replacement car. Definitely, I will never recommend AVIS in Berlin, Mitte's office. Nobody, as in USA, goes with you to check the car before is driven by the renter and then really act in with an unfriendly approach ... like making a favor to me and not remembering that I am the customer!!

some difficulty was experienced in changing the language on the vehicles GPS to be in English. This could be more efficient, but the AVIS clerk offered a Tomtom as a backup.
