I was deceived about EURO 55,72 added to my rental referring railway station fee. However, as you can see in my rental proposal, no reference about this cost was told to me............ or it was in small letters? It's a pitty. Everything else ran very well.

We have used Europcar (through you) often, but this time we had a strange experience. 2 weeks into our 6-week rental, we got a message asking us to return the car to them, as "the manufacturer needed it back." When I called back, I said that we were some distance away, but that they could come pick up the car and bring us another. I was told that that was impossible, and the woman who had originally called would call me back - which she never did. I never knew whether there was a danger and a recall, or whether this was something to suit Europcar. The staff at the rental counter was uniformly pleasant. The car itself had a few issues - back-up light out, cigarette lighter not working - but was basically fine.

It was easy to arrange for the car on-line and pick up the car in Avignon. We were especially pleased to be able to change without additional cost our drop-off place from Avignon to Marseille, a decision we made after renting the car for 2-3 days. We think that's great service!!

Initially they gave us a 2-door car and said the car we wanted was not available at the price quoted by Auto Europe. But with some discussion and by showing them my on-line print out with the car we wanted, they gave us that car, a 4-door VW Golf. The only difference was we got a manual car rather than automatic, which was not a problem for us.

we had a good, clean car, and at a price much lower than i'd paid on many previous rentals in europe with hertz and avis. i would definately rent from suto europe again. the only negative was a massive e-mail barrage before i left, trying to scare me into buying the full insurance package. i'm covered by american express, and advised them of that, but the e-mails still rained down.

efficient staff with good english skills at both our pick-up (avignon) and drop-off (caen) locations. everything went as planned...offices were easy to find...i would certainly rent from them again, as the price was
right!!!

Very hard to find Hertz's return parking lot. We have to left our rental car at the TGV train station parking area and pay extra parking charge. There is no Hertz return address preset in the GPS. Also, the GPS is not up to date, it stated that its info is almost 2 years old.

Avignon airport desk was closed and noone answered the contact phone#s on their desk did so we had to go to Avignon TGV. Signing up there was easy except the car had multiple scratches & dents, some of which were hard to see as the car was dusty, and some were not listed on the contract.The car worked very well once we set off. Checking in at CDG was almost too casual, ie: noone verified the fuel was full or came out to look at the car. We just handed in the key and were told that everything would be taken care of.
