For nearly a week, numerous parades march through the town, and instead of party floats, the locals create Fallas, gigantic replicas of social and political figures made from papier mâché, as well as wood and wax. The entire city is adorned with beautiful decorations, and the local as well as national enthusiasm for the event is massive! The last day of the festival is truly the best, when the entire countryside is lit up in a fiery blaze, as the ceremonial burning of the figures commences, followed by the spectacular fireworks display. This Spanish tradition is a truly unforgettable experience for everyone that attends!
