The Tenerife South Airport is one of two airports on the island of Tenerife. The airport was inaugurated by Queen Sofia of Spain in 1978 and the airport bears the name of Tenerife South – Reina Sofia Airport, in dedication to the Queen. There are over 60 different airlines that fly in and out of Tenerife South.
