There are three different airports operating in Berlin. The Berlin-Tegel Airport is currently the main airport in Berlin. However, the airport is scheduled to be closed in 2011 and all traffic will shift to the Berlin-Schoenfeld Airport, which will undergo a name change at that time to Berlin-Brandenburg International. The Berlin-Tegel Airport currently services more than 50 different airlines that fly to destinations around the world.
