Gold Rush Dog Races on Ice

Racing greyhounds do more then race on the track, they also race on the frozen St. Moritz Lake for a unique event, the Gold Rush Dog Races on Ice. It is a 500 meter race and features 14 races.

The carnival is kicked off with the city's electricity being turned off at 4am and a parade of people carrying torches through the streets in a ceremony that launches a 3 day celebration.
