Polarjazz is held each year in Longyearbyen and is the northernmost jazz festival in the world, only a few hundred miles south of the North Pole. Many national and international artists make their way north to this well attended event.

FIS Men's Alpine Skiing World Cup

The FIS Men's Alpine Skiing World Cup makes its stop at the Norwegian resort of Kvitfjell and features downhill and Super G competitions. Kvitfjell is considered one of the best resorts in Norway.

This annual event is geared towards the younger crowd as this informal Alpine kids' competition takes to Skei/Gausdal Ski Resort in Lillehammer. The event is named after the Norwegian children's TV presenter, Asgeir.

Each year the entire country of Norway goes into celebration mode, as Norwegian National Day is bigger to the locals then Christmas or Easter. There are parades, brass bands and many are dressed in national costumes, known as bunad. So take to the streets with the locals and celebrate like there is no tomorrow!
