Silver Fair of Mexico Each year, the city of Taxco celebrates its roots in the silver mining industry with a fair devoted to the precious metal. Though mining is no longer practiced, the skilled silversmiths have remained and now are honored with a National Silversmith award.
Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe Cliff Diving Mexico's patron saint, the Virgin of Guadalupe is honored with a death defying display of skill and bravery. The high rising La Quebrada cliffs tempt cliff divers who impress onlookers as they launch themselves into the sea below. |
