Dublin Fringe Festival Dublin is turned upside down during this event. The fringe festival has been a big hit since it began in 1995 with a jam-packed agenda filled with music, theatre, and art. The festival has spread through out the city with over 45,000 visitors packing 20 venues.
Galway International Oyster Festival This event is headed into its 55th year and as always is sure to please your palate. The festival is of course full of oysters; some fresh and some prepared in delectable seafood chowders. There is plenty of live entertainment on hand and never ending pints of Guinness.
Wexford Festival Opera The Wexford Festival Opera makes a comeback in 2009 at the Wexford's Theatre Royal House. The festival welcomes artists from around the world to perform works from distinguished composers.
Dublin City Marathon Over ten thousand runners head to Dublin each year to participate in Ireland's most famous marathon. The race makes its way through out the historic city center from Kildare Street to Merion Square West.
National Craft Fair Just in time for the holidays, this annual market event features gifts and treats that will please the entire family. The fair features work from over 450 artists with products ranging from sweets to handicrafts. |
