First Day of Summer The first day of summer is a large event in Iceland due to the fact that the country has been blanketed in darkness for what feels like an eternity. Puffins come to this area to construct a nest, and end up providing entertainment to hundreds of nature lovers. Boats offer tours all around the island extending visitors great views of millions of puffins, orcas, and whales. This activity is definitely a must-see when visiting this beautiful country!
