Rethymno Carnival The isle of Crete truly comes alive during the vibrant three week carnival celebrating traditional Grecian customs, culture, and cuisine. Live music, dance and theatrical performances continuously entertain partygoers, while delicious foods and thirst quenching beverages keep attendees more than satisfied. Spend each day participating in exciting activities, such as treasure hunts and carnival rides, and then dance the night away at one of the many costume parties or Black Tie balls. The main attraction of this festival however, is The Grand Parade, which wraps up the month of events with a joyous procession of masqueraded party floats throughout the city.
Greek Independence Day & the Feast of the Annunciation The Greek Independence Day celebrates not only their freedom from the Ottoman Empire, but also the religious feast, the Festival of the Annunciation. Church gatherings, military parades, historic exhibits, and cultural displays are all part of the days festivities, and food is provided by numerous vendors set up in booths along the streets. The entire island of Cyprus shuts down for this event, and the day is considered a public holiday throughout the entire country.
Tinos Easter Celebration is the name of the game on Easter in Tinos Town. Each year parties and festivals are held celebrating local foods, island life, and general good cheer. Come with the whole family!
Kifissia in Bloom With over 50 different kinds of roses, tulips, dahlias and daffodils, this festival is filled with beautiful color and aromas! Rare and unusual species combined with standard favorites create a spectacle beloved by all. There are even experts on hand from all over Greece to answer all your botany related inquires.
European Music Day Original music is premiered in this massive venue of cultural collaboration.
