Easter Beer Festival The Campaign for Real Ale, also known as CAMRA, hosts an annual beer festival at the Winter Gardens every April. There are over 180 REAL beverages from local breweries, as well as delicious pub food, live music, and tasty samples. We do advise responsible behavior; you will want to use public transportation to get to and from this location.
Alternative Miss World This unusual beauty pageant showcases some of London’s most creative contestants that use a combination of fashion and zany art work, in a grand competition for the crown.
Hampton Court Festival Fans of all kinds of music enjoy the Hampton Court festival. Picture this: it’s a warm summer night, you and a couple of thousand people are in a beautiful 17th century garden amphitheater, listening to a wide array of artists performing music in front Henry VIII’s beautifully lit palace. Now you have a pretty good idea what this festival is all about. This event attracts top quality artists such as the Buena Vista Social Club Orchestra, Van Morrison, and Rufus Wainwright.

The Royal Norfolk Show The Royal Norfolk Show, dated back to the early 1800’s, continues to impress all visitors with the largest two day agricultural show in the country, held this upcoming summer. Entertainment is provided for children and adults of all ages, including a petting zoo, with animals ranging from rabbits and bulls, to goats and beautiful horses. Along with all that is livestock, attend numerous events like the Flower and Garden Show, or the annual Dog Show! Hat Fair The 36th annual Winchester Hat Fair, held this July, is anything but devoted to head wear. Currently the longest running street theatre festival in the UK, this celebration is a giant collaboration of the countries’ best performers; ranging anywhere from talented circus acrobats and goofy clowns, to the newest musical acts and craziest stunt artists around. Tips and gratuities are collected from the audience with giant hats, giving the crowd the ability to compliment the entertainers that work hard all year round on their unique skills. Hold your breath, laugh, and dance along to the music at this jovial family event. It’s truly a terrific time!
Camp Bestival Lulworth Castle turns into a fairytale epicenter of camping excitement during their annual family focused carnival. Grassroots Free Festival The Grassroots Free Festival is a huge party full of unusual entertainment. International Balloon Fiesta Over half a million people gather every year to watch one of England’s largest outdoor events. This venue is full of entertainment for the whole family, and includes attractions such as carnival activities, jousting tournaments, live weapons demonstrations, and most especially, the massive Hot Air Balloon displays. Two main highlights that ALL visitors must see are the Special Shapes Rodeo, a collaboration of over 130 balloons rising into the air, and the Night Glow, a light and music choreographed routine featuring over 30 Hot Air Balloons. A live fireworks display concludes the event, and cements this beautiful fiesta as one of the best all year!
Maidstone Beer and Hop Festival Relax and enjoy some of the best in beer and food in England. The festival allows visitors to harvest hops that will be brewed into future beer. Here you can watch the process of beer production while enjoying food stands and live music.
Regent Street Festival Regent Street is shut down to traffic and becomes a centre for music, live entertainment, and SHOPPING! There are two stages for live concerts, and a separate stage for theater performances. This year's event will be sure to appeal to all of your senses with exotic food, music, and lively dancing.
Lantern Film & Media Festival The 2nd annual arts festival, held in the magnificent Trinity Theatre, is an outlet for the best local and international talents to compete for top honors in each of their categories: film, photography, art, and music. This event is not exclusive to certain people or groups, and all are welcome to enter the contests. Culture, celebrated in truest form, is certainly appreciated by all who attend this creative event.
Beer Festival If you are visiting England this upcoming Fall, be sure to check out the annual thirst quenching Beer Festival, also marking the start of the Charter Week celebrations. Try a sample of more then 60 beers, produced by over 50 local breweries; if you like what you try, why not buy a whole case to enjoy at home!
Ludlow Marches Food & Drink Festival This festival is one of the best gastronomy events in all of the UK. Held within ancient castle walls, this small town festival boasts over 130 local suppliers, which will be offering samples of a large variety of meats, ciders, and beer.
Tenterden Folk Festival One of the folksiest music gatherings all year, this weekend is strictly dedicated to all that is Folk with an events list full of free performances at various pubs and coach parks, as well as ticketed concerts at larger venues. The traditional barn dance, referred to colloquially as “the ceilidh”, will commence the festival on Friday night, and all visitors are invited to camp on the designated grounds, so as not to miss any of the party!
Apple Day and Harvest Fair The birthplace of William Shakespeare puts on this annual crafts fair. The event features numerous local agricultural activities such as cider making and pastry tastings. What a great tradition for the start of the fall season!
Wells Festival of Literature Here you can mingle with your favorite authors or compete in the poetry contest. This event provides a meeting place for book fans and writers alike; featuring readings, lectures, and even a great book sale!
Sugarcraft and Cake Decorating Show This trade show provides visitors with everything they need to improve upon and expand their cake making skills. The event is held at the Birmingham National Exhibition Center and offers cake decorating demonstrations and workshops with supplies for sale. If you are confident in your ability to make the best, compete in the contest; there are multiple categories, and tons of prize giveaways!
Remembrance Day Service and Parade The brave soldiers of both World Wars are remembered during this beautiful tribute. The event is marked with a wreath laying ceremony, lead by the Royal Family, and is televised nation wide.
The Magic of Christmas The Christmas season is in full swing during this festive event. Bring the entire family to the Birmingham Exhibition Centre to watch the many live shows and enjoy fairground rides. There are numerous market stalls to help with Christmas shopping, and of course Saint Nick is available to meet and greet. Come tell Santa what you want this year! |
